Nike wanted to encourage young hockey players to continue their training during the summer off-season. Last Team Standing is an organized competition where teams compete by showing their training commitment (through status updates and photo/video uploads on Facebook.) The team with the most points at the end of the summer will become a Nike sponsored team and get to train with Steve Stamkos.
